Erich „Rickerl“ Bohacek träumt davon, als Musiker groß rauszukommen. Doch gleichzeitig möchte er unbedingt ein Vorbild für seinen sechsjährigen Sohn Dominic sein, der seinen chaotischen Vater über alles liebt. Doch statt große Konzertsäle zu füllen, streift Rickerl mit seiner Gitarre durch Wiener Kneipen.
Rickerl is a stumbling pub musician who struggles to make ends meet. He hopes to succeed with his personal emotional songs but keeps getting in his own way. At the same time, he tries to be a loving father to his son who lives with his ex.
