Der Film handelt von einer Familie mit vierzehn Kindern, die nach dem Tod ihrer Mutter auf sich allein gestellt sind. Reg, der Älteste, der gerade 18 wird, muss sich um die Familie kümmern, bis das Jugendamt eingreift und sie alle in ein Kinderheim schickt. Reg ist jedoch immer entschlossen, dafür zu kämpfen, dass seine Familie zusammenbleibt, egal was passiert.
