Basierend auf einem Buch von Darcy Ribeiro konzentriert sich der Film auf die Flugbahn von Uira, einem indischen Kaapor-Urubu auf der Suche nach dem "Land ohne Böse". Das Abenteuer beginnt nach dem Tod seines Erstgeborenen, als er und seine Familie beschließen, auf der Suche nach Maíra, dem Tupi-Schöpfergott, zu gehen. In diesem Prozess durchläuft UIRA das Innere von Maranhão und kommt in die Hauptstadt São Luiz.
Based on a book by Darcy Ribeiro, the film focuses on the trajectory of Uira, an Indian-Kaapor Urubu in his search for the "land without evil." The adventure begins after the death of his firstborn, when he and his family decide to leave in search of Maíra, the Tupi creator-god. In this process, Uira goes through the interior of Maranhão and come to the capital, São Luiz.
