„The Son of a Thousand Men“ folgt Crisóstomo (Rodrigo Santoro), einem einsamen Fischer in seinen Vierzigern, der die Schuld in sich trägt, kein Vater sein zu können. Auf der Suche nach einem Sohn ohne Vater, da er selbst ein Vater ohne Sohn ist, stößt Crisóstomo auf Camilo (Miguel Martines), einen Waisenjungen von gerade einmal 12 Jahren. Bald beginnen sie gemeinsam die riskante, aber lohnende Reise, eine unkonventionelle Familie zu gründen. In der Stadt, in der sie leben, kreuzen sich die Wege eines missverstandenen jungen Mannes namens Antonino (Johnny Massaro) und einer Frau namens Isaura (Rebeca Jamir), die vor ihrem eigenen Schmerz davonläuft, Crisóstomo und Camilo. Gemeinsam lernen die vier die wahre Bedeutung von Familie und den Sinn des gemeinsamen Lebens kennen.
The Son of a Thousand Men follows Crisóstomo (Rodrigo Santoro), a lonely fisherman in his 40s who carries within himself the guilt of not being able to be a father. In search of a son without a father, since he himself is a father without a son, Crisóstomo comes across Camilo (Miguel Martines), an orphan boy of just 12 years old. Soon, they begin together on a risky but rewarding journey of forming an unconventional family. In the town where they live, a misunderstood young man called Antonino (Johnny Massaro) and a woman running away from her own pain called Isaura (Rebeca Jamir) cross paths with Crisóstomo and Camilo. Together, the four learn the true meaning of family and the purpose of sharing life.
