Eine klassische Horrorgeschichte. Sommer 1935. Die neunjährigen Zwillinge Niles und Holland Perry leben auf einer Farm in Connecticut. Ihre Großmutter Ada zeigt ihnen etwas, das sie „das Spiel“ nennt. Danach ereignen sich in der Nachbarschaft immer wieder Unfälle. Niles glaubt, sein Bruder Holland stecke dahinter. Doch nur seine Großmutter weiß, was wirklich vor sich geht. Und nur sie kann diesem grausamen Mordspiel ein Ende setzen.
