Eleven-year-old boy Mitya is struggling with an illness. Once in the hospital, he makes friends with Marina, a rebellious girl who is also older than him, smokes and makes up strange stories that look like lies and truth at the same time. Children run away and go on a journey in search of Crooked Cape - a place where wishes come true. Mitya has to find out what he really wants. Marina - to find a person who will really need her. And the father - to learn about his fears and learn to communicate with his son.
Der elfjährige Mitya kämpft mit einer Krankheit. Im Krankenhaus freundet er sich mit Marina an, einem rebellischen Mädchen, das älter ist als er, raucht und sich seltsame Geschichten ausdenkt, die gleichzeitig Lüge und Wahrheit sind. Kinder laufen weg und begeben sich auf die Suche nach dem Krummen Kap – einem Ort, an dem Wünsche in Erfüllung gehen. Mitya muss herausfinden, was er wirklich will. Marina möchte jemanden finden, der sie wirklich braucht. Und der Vater möchte seine Ängste kennenlernen und lernen, mit seinem Sohn zu kommunizieren.
