The situation becomes complicated when his mother is taken to the hospital after mushroom poisoning, and Vlk has to take care of the boy himself...

Once upon a time, there lived a family consisting of a husband, wife, and their two young sons. On Christmas Eve, they decided to visit their grandfather. It so happened that one of the children, the older one, was left alone with the old man. The grandfather, who hadn't said a word until then, suddenly began telling him all sorts of scary things about Santa Clauses... The family stumbles upon this Santa (a burglar in a suit) on their way back from their grandfather's house. Only two children survive this encounter. But that's just the beginning of the story...

Als er gezwungen wird, bei einer Kindergartenvorstellung für einen als Weihnachtsmann verkleideten Schauspieler einzuspringen, verspricht er einem kleinen Mädchen, ihre schwer kranke Mutter zu heilen. Er hilft dem Mädchen und ihrem älteren Bruder, der bereits zur Schule geht, wird für die Kinder zum Weihnachtsmann und vollbringt ein wahres Wunder. Er verschafft ihrer Mutter einen Termin bei einem führenden Mediziner. Nach der Diagnose sammelt er Geld für die Behandlung, indem er seine Wohnung vermietet und seine Medaillen verkauft. Mascha, Lenochkas Mutter, beginnt sich allmählich zu erholen.

Forced to replace an actor dressed as Father Frost at a kindergarten matinee, he promises a little girl he'll cure her seriously ill mother. Helping the girl and her older, school-age brother, Victor becomes Father Frost for the children and performs a true miracle. He secures a consultation for their mother with a leading medical expert. And after a diagnosis, he raises money for treatment, renting out his apartment and selling his medals. Masha, Lenochka's mother, gradually begins to recover.

Kolja Chimbartsev kam aus dem fernen Odessa ins Internat im Hafen von Krasin. Sein Vater, ein Hydrologe, sollte ihn abholen. Doch er kehrte nicht von seiner Forschungsstation auf der Eisscholle zurück und meldete sich auch nicht per Funk. Kolja und seine neuen Freunde beschlossen, selbst mit dem Schulradio auf Sendung zu gehen. Nachdem sie das Radio kaputt gemacht hatten und ihre Strafe hinauszögern wollten, planten die Jungen, ins Kino zu gehen. Doch als eine Sturmwarnung kam, versteckten sie sich unter ihren Betten und schliefen ein. Sie hinterließen eine Nachricht, dass sie ins Kino gingen. Das Dorf war in Alarmbereitschaft: Kinder hatten sich in den Schneesturm verirrt…

But he didn't return from the research station on the ice floe and didn't make radio contact. Kolya and his new friends decide to use the school radio station to get on the air themselves. Having broken the radio and wanting to postpone their punishment, the boys plan to go to the movies. But upon hearing a storm warning, they hide under their bed and fall asleep, leaving a note saying they're going to the movies.

Sam Docherty is a good kid. He doesn't mean to get in trouble, it just happens. The Docherty family is then faced with a new set of problems as they find themselves ostrasized by their new neighbors and trouble finds Sam, once again.
