In einem vom Ersten Weltkrieg traumatisierten Europa zeigten Pädagogen mit dem Finger auf die Schule, die „tapfere Soldaten“ hervorgebracht hatte. Nun war es an der Zeit, Frieden zu schaffen und eine neue Erziehung für eine Generation von Kindern zu entwickeln, die, so hoffte man, nie wieder in den Krieg ziehen würde. Wie konnten sie ohne Überwachung und Bestrafung erzogen werden? Wie konnte man ihnen helfen, sich zu emanzipieren? Kinder glücklich zu machen, hieße, sie zu besseren Erwachsenen zu machen, glaubten diejenigen, die sich auf dieses Abenteuer einließen. Zu ihnen gehörten Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori, Célestin Freinet, Alexander S. Neill, Ovide Decroly, Paul Geheeb und Janusz Korczak, die alle pädagogische Methoden entwickelten. Der Schweizer Pädagoge Adolphe Ferrière brachte sie zusammen und gründete die Internationale Liga für Neue Erziehung.

How could they be helped to emancipate themselves? Making children happy meant making them better adults, believed those who embarked on the adventure. They included Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori, Célestin Freinet, Alexander S. Neill, Ovide Decroly, Paul Geheeb, and Janusz Korczak, each of whom invented educational methods. A Swiss educator, Adolphe Ferrière, brought them together to form the International League for New Education.

Die junge, schöne Witwe Susanna will den schüchternen Peter aus der schwäbischen Gemeinde heiraten. Ihr achtjähriger Sohn Tim will dies jedoch verhindern und bittet Gott um Hilfe. Am Abend steht Johannes Martin vor der Tür, ein unbeschwerter Anwalt aus Frankfurt, der seine Stelle in einer Kanzlei verloren hat und nach Schwaben gekommen ist, um das Haus seiner verstorbenen Mutter zu erben. Doch eine Überraschung erwartet ihn: Nicht er erbt das Haus, sondern die fürsorgliche Susanna, die mit Tim im Dachgeschoss wohnt. Johannes ist entschlossen, mit allen Mitteln um sein Erbe zu kämpfen.

The young and beautiful widow Susanna is about to marry the timid Peter from the Swabian parish. However, her eight-year-old son Tim wants to prevent this and asks God for help. In the evening, Johannes Martin, a carefree lawyer from Frankfurt, who lost his job at a law firm and came to Swabia to inherit his dead mother's house, appears at the door. But a surprise awaits him: it is not he who inherits the house, but the caring Susanna, who lives on the top floor with Tim. Johannes is determined to fight for his inheritance by any means necessary.

Mattes (Hannes Jaenicke), Hannah (Rebecca Immanuel), Tommy (Max Boekhoff) und Emily Wiebeck (Johanna Werner) sind eine typische Durchschnittsfamilie, tägliche Meinungsverschiedenheiten inklusive. Nachdem die Situation nach einem Streit einmal mehr eskaliert, schlagen Mattes und Hannah ihren Kindern ein waghalsiges Experiment vor: Für einen Monat übernehmen die Kinder das Kommando in der Familie. Sie verwalten die Haushaltskasse, es gelten keine Vorschriften oder Verbote ihrer Eltern und Mattes und Hannah handeln nur nach Anweisung der Kinder. Es wird vertraglich abgesichert, dass ein Abbruch des Rollentauschs nur möglich ist, wenn alle Familienmitglieder zustimmen. Als Schiedsrichter wird Mattes Vater Lukas (Walter Kreye) eingespannt. Das Chaos ist vorprogrammiert, als die 14-jährige Emily den Tausch mit einer Megaparty beginnt und der zehnjährige Tommy das komplette Haushaltsgeld für eine Spielkonsole ausgibt. Mit der Zeit nimmt das Experiment immer unkontrollierbare Dimensionen an, bis sogar das Jugendamt vor der Tür steht.

The couple Matthias and Hanna and their children: ten-year-old Tommy and fourteen-year-old Emilie - a typical German family, in which every day there are disagreements. April 1945. Soviet troops enter Austria. The inhabitants of Vienna, frightened by rumors of Russian atrocities, flee the city in panic. Little Christina, together with her mother and older sister, takes refuge in the empty villa of the rich aristocrats von Braun. Unexpectedly, the mistress of the house returns to the villa with her son Gerald, and now the two families dread the arrival of the Russian...

Eine alte rohrgedeckte Scheune mit Storchennest muß abgerissen werden. Opa Schmahl und sein junger Freund Till wollen den Störchen einen neuen Wigwam geben. Sie bauen einen Dreibock, um Nisthilfe zu geben. Am Ende dieses aufregenden Frühlingstages erlebt Till tiefe Trauer, aber auch große Freude.

An old cane-roofed barn with a stork's nest has to be demolished. Grandpa Schmahl and his young friend Till want to give the storks a new wigwam. They build a trestle to provide nesting help. At the end of this exciting spring day, Till experiences deep sadness, but also great joy.

David möchte gerne die Unendlichkeit des Weltalls erforschen, komponiert Klavierstücke und erfindet täglich neue Witze. Wenn er sich konzentrieren möchte, schaltet er einfach sein Hörgerät aus. Sein Bruder Jakob, der das Down-Syndrom hat, schafft es immer wieder seine Klasse aufzuheitern und seine Mitschüler so zum Lernen zu motivieren. Anita, als Kind aus dem Kosovo geflohen, träumt davon Topmodel zu werden. Sie muss sich aber um ihren jüngeren Bruder kümmern, so dass sie kaum Zeit findet, den Catwalk zu üben. Lucas, der eine Lese-Rechtschreibschwäche hat, ist der Experte in Automechanik und weiß, wie man Autos frisiert. Sie lernen in altersgemischten Klassen, lösen ihre Probleme in einem Klassenrat und helfen sich gegenseitig. Nach Klasse 4, wenn sie 10 Jahre alt sind, ist Schluss mit der Grundschule. David, Jakob, Anita und Lucas werden auf die verschiedenen weiterführenden Schulen verteilt. Eine Entscheidung fürs Leben.

David, his brother Jakob, Anita and Lukas attend the BERG FIDEL elementary school in Münster. They have big dreams for their future and are making good progress at BERG FIDEL, a model school in Germany. BERG FIDEL accepts every child, regardless of origin, religion or disability. David would like to explore the infinity of space, composes piano pieces and invents new jokes every day. When he wants to concentrate, he simply switches off his hearing aid. His brother Jakob, who has Down's syndrome, always manages to cheer up his class and motivate his fellow pupils to learn. Anita, who fled Kosovo as a child, dreams of becoming a top model. But she has to look after her younger brother, so she hardly finds time to practise the catwalk. Lucas, who has a dyslexia, is an expert in car mechanics and knows how to do up cars. They learn in mixed-age classes, solve their problems in a class council and help each other. After year 4, when they are 10 years old, elementary school comes to an end. David, Jakob, Anita and Lucas are assigned to different secondary schools. A decision for life.

David, his brother Jakob, Anita and Lukas attend the BERG FIDEL elementary school in Münster. They have big dreams for their future and are making good progress at BERG FIDEL, a model school in Germany. BERG FIDEL accepts every child, regardless of origin, religion or disability. David would like to explore the infinity of space, composes piano pieces and invents new jokes every day. When he wants to concentrate, he simply switches off his hearing aid. His brother Jakob, who has Down's syndrome, always manages to cheer up his class and motivate his fellow pupils to learn. Anita, who fled Kosovo as a child, dreams of becoming a top model. But she has to look after her younger brother, so she hardly finds time to practise the catwalk. Lucas, who has a dyslexia, is an expert in car mechanics and knows how to do up cars. They learn in mixed-age classes, solve their problems in a class council and help each other. After year 4, when they are 10 years old, elementary school comes to an end. David, Jakob, Anita and Lucas are assigned to different secondary schools. A decision for life.

Einzig sein Freund Benni ist Alfons stets ein treuer Begleiter. Da hört Alfons von einem Fluggerätewettbewerb und sieht seine Chance gekommen, es allen zu beweisen. Bei diesem abenteuerlichen Unterfangen hilft ihm natürlich sein bester Freund Benni, aber auch die neue Klassenkameradin Emilia ist mit Rat und Tat dabei. Gemeinsam bereitet sich das Trio intensiv vor und baut unermüdlich an einer gigantischen Rakete, die die Modelle der anderen Klassenkameraden in den Schatten stellen soll. Doch das ist Alfons nicht genug, denn wer wäre er, wenn seine neuartige Rakete nicht wahrhaft explosiv werden würde.

This statue is rumored to possess magical powers that transfer to its owner. Years later, now both secret agents of the American government, they embark on a quest. Joining them are the beautiful June and her uncle, who are interested in the whereabouts of June's missing sister, April. Their journey through the jungle is fraught with numerous dangers and traps, which they manage to overcome with luck and skill. However, this sets off a series of shocking events, as the golden cobra is cursed with a deadly spell.
