Professor Biondi ist ein depressiver Wissenschaftler. Nach dem Tod seiner Frau lebt er isoliert von der Welt in der Wüste von Nevada, in der Nähe von Area 51. Angeblich arbeitet er an einem streng geheimen Projekt für die US-Regierung, aber in Wirklichkeit verbringt er seine Tage auf der Couch und lauscht dem Klang des Universums. Sein einziger Kontakt zur Außenwelt ist Stella, die Hochzeiten mit Alien-Thema für Touristen organisiert, die auf der Suche nach Außerirdischen sind. Eines Tages erhält der Professor eine Nachricht aus Neapel: Sein sterbender Bruder vertraut ihm seine beiden Kinder an, damit sie mit ihm in Amerika leben können.
Professor Biondi is a depressed scientist. After his wife's death, he lives isolated from the world in the Nevada desert, near Area 51. He supposedly works on a top-secret project for the US government, but in actuality, he spends his days on the couch, listening to the sound of the Universe. His only contact with the outside world is Stella, who organizes alien-themed weddings for tourists on the prowl for extra-terrestrials. One day the Professor receives a message from Naples: his dying brother is entrusting him with his two children, so that they may live with him in America.
