Sommer im Dorf. Das Stadtmädchen Alena möchte sich mit einer örtlichen „Gang“ von Gleichaltrigen anfreunden. Doch die Einreisebedingungen sind streng: Entweder begeht Alena einen Raubüberfall oder sie gibt dem „Häuptling“ ihre brandneuen Turnschuhe. Alena stimmt zu, doch während des Diebstahls erfährt sie, dass ihr Opfer ein hilfloser, einsamer alter Mann ist.
Summer in the village. City girl Alena wants to make friends with the local "gang" of her peers. But the conditions for joining are strict: either Alena commits a robbery, or gives the "ataman" her brand new sneakers. Alena agrees, but during the theft she discovers that her victim is a helpless, lonely old man.
