Der elfjährige Thabo möchte wie im Kino Detektiv werden. Da gibt es nur eins: Sein Zuhause ist ein kleines afrikanisches Dorf – ein friedlicher Winkel der Savanne, in dem nichts passiert. Doch alles ändert sich, als in einem nahegelegenen Safaripark ein Nashorn getötet wird. Nun müssen sich Thabo und seine neue Freundin Emma nicht nur um das verlassene Nashornbaby kümmern, sondern auch ermitteln und die Kriminellen fangen.
