Der 14-jährige Valle zieht vom Land in die Stadt und trifft Märta, die seine einzige Freundin wird. Ihm fehlt Geld für die Reise und er hat einen Tipp erhalten, wie er an Geld kommt. Märta und Valle reisen zusammen, doch es droht Gefahr, da die Ahnungslosen ihr Zuhause verlassen haben.
14-year-old Valle moves from the country to the city and meets Märta, who becomes his only friend. Valle receives a letter in which he is immediately asked to come to the country when his horse is about to foal. He lacks money for the trip and has received a tip on how to get money. Märta and Valle travel together, but danger threatens as the unsuspecting have left home.
