Wie haben Kinder den Zweiten Weltkrieg erlebt? In jeder Folge wird die Geschichte eines Kriegskindes erzählt und gleichzeitig folgen die Episoden der Chronologie der Ereignisse des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Verbunden mit einem persönlichen Kinderschicksal werden so in jeder Geschichte bedeutende historische Abschnitte oder Aspekte des Krieges, aber auch bestimmte Persönlichkeiten thematisiert.
