Die elfjährigen Apostelzwillinge Petrus und Paulus sind bereit, jedes Opfer zu bringen, um ein Kart zu bekommen (und nicht, um Geige zu spielen, wozu viele herzlose Eltern ihre Kinder verdammen). Sie sammeln selbstlos Altpapier, finden andere Wege, Geld zu verdienen und nehmen an einem Wettbewerb teil, dessen Hauptpreis das begehrte Kart ist. Doch statt eines Karts bekommen sie ... ein Pferd.
The heroes of the film by screenwriter Zdeněk Mahler and director Jiří Hanibal are eleven-year-old twins Petr and Pavel, who sacrifice all their energy to their desire for a go-kart. They honestly collect old paper to get as many tickets as possible for a competition in which a go-kart is the first prize. They have no doubt at all that they will win. However, instead of a go-kart, they win a horse. They and their parents go through a lot of trouble with their unusual win in the middle of the big city before they manage to put everything in order...
