Zu diesem Zweck ernennt er seinen ältesten Sohn Juan zum Captain der Armee. Cesare, der Zweitgeborene, wird zum Kardinal ernannt. Mit seiner hübschen Tochter Lucrezia erkauft er sich das Wohlwollen des Adels. Im Namen Gottes verbreiten sie Angst und Schrecken im ganzen Land. Wer sich ihnen in den Weg stellt, ist des Todes.
