Shyamlal and Annapurna are a young married couple. Shyamlal's mother dies and Annapurna takes a vow from him that she will treat her son, her husband's brother, Ram, as her own son. A few years later, Anu gave birth to her own child, Gopal. The boys grew up as siblings. Suresh, the grandson of the zamindar of the village, because of his arrogance and wealth, often quarreled with Ram. Once during a quarrel Ram hit Suresh hard on the head. Shyamlal was very angry with his younger brother and decided to punish him severely.
