Ein Kind, das von der Strahlung einer Bombe betroffen ist, hat nur noch wenige Monate zu leben. Sein Vater schenkt ihm Wölfe, die Lieblingstiere des Jungen, und tut alles, um seinen Sohn glücklich zu machen. Am Weihnachtstag, als der Vater vom Einkaufen zurückkommt, findet er das Kind tot unter dem Weihnachtsbaum und die Wölfe heulen vor Schmerzen.

A child affected by radiation from a bomb has only a few months to live. His father gives him wolves, the boy's favorite animals, and does everything he can to make his son happy. On Christmas Day, when the father returns from shopping, he finds the child dead under the tree and the wolves howling in agony.
