Der Millionär Laurent Segur ist seit kurzem Witwer. Sein zehnjähriger Sohn Pascal möchte mit seinem Vater Urlaub auf Korsika machen. A child affected by radiation from a bomb has only a few months to live. His father gives him wolves, the boy's favorite animals, and does everything he can to keep his son happy. On Christmas Day, when the father returns from shopping, he finds the child dead under the tree and the wolves howling to death.
